Off The Modern Path means I am leaving behind this idea that we need to work endlessly only for a roof over our heads and food on the table. It means that I have found living in London that you can get sucked into a trap of working constantly and waiting for the weekend to come. No matter how much you love your job you are waiting for that day off. When that day off comes you are too tired to do anything with it. Your family members live only a few miles away but you never have the time or energy to see them. The money we earn is great until you consider the £650 rent for a small room – in a house you share with 8 strangers.

Off The Modern Path also means saying NO to how the food industries works now. Our demand for convenient food has led to mass production. The mass production has led to cruelty to animals. The mass production has led to a disgusting amount of waste, specifically plastic waste, that is destroying our planet.
Off The Modern Path means I’m going to try something different. I’m going to try working for a living, a real living. I’m going to work to see the world, to be able to afford a house for my family in the future and to enjoy every day at it comes.
The themes of Off The Modern Path are Van Life, Travel, Zero Waste and Adventures. I will also include some information of Elhers Danlos Hypermobility Syndrome and what is like to live and travel with a disability. I would also like to use my professional experiences to make a blog that helps people understand and support those around them with Autism.
